Nordic Nonsense is a group founded by Annukka Lindqvist and Arto Muukka, specialising in physical theatre. The group’s expertise is rooted in the pedagogy of Jacques Lecoq, which they studied at the international École Lassaad. In their performances, the duo combine different styles of physical theatre in a novel and refreshing way – their work has been staged in Finland, Belgium and Switzerland. Alongside their performance work, Nordic Nonsense is active as an educator: the group promotes the field of clowning in the Helsinki metropolitan area and offers a wide range of physical theatre courses through various educational institutions.
